Churches are a central part of life in our communities with historical, social and artistic significance.

My love of collectables was inspired years ago when I bought Beatrix Potter ornaments for my daughter’s Christmas tree in her nursery. I couldn’t help but think how wonderful it would be to create something others would like to collect.

The idea of making Limited Edition ornaments of churches and historical buildings came to me when I lived in rural Virginia. The beautiful architecture was amazing and it was everywhere. That’s when I thought I could share that beauty through my ornaments. Every ornament is numbered on the back, on the bag and on the tag.

Each ornament is designed by me. Then I pour them, sand them, glaze them and fire them in my home in Smyrna, Georgia. I am very proud to say that each ornament is made by hand, with love, in my basement.

Songbird & Twig adds a limited number of ornaments to its collection each year.  If you’d like to commission your church or building to be part of this unique heirloom project, please contact us.
